A Message from Board Chairman Ronald Carlson

Thank you for your continued support and membership of Community Financial. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, Community Financial is governed by a member-elected volunteer board of directors who serve as trustees on behalf of the entire membership. The board works with CEO Bill Lawton and the executive leadership team to guide our credit union through a continuously adapting financial environment due to rapidly changing technology and ideas. It’s our passion for service to our members that sets us apart from other financial institutions in Michigan. We build and maintain strong member relationships through our team’s extraordinary level of member service and delivery of personalized solutions. You can always count on our team members to demonstrate a willingness to listen, to answer your questions and to be responsive to your needs.

“Our loyal members are the most important part of our continued success. As you help us spread the word to friends, neighbors, relatives and coworkers, they may also enjoy the benefits of Community Financial membership.”
Board Chairman Ronald Carlson
I’m proud to be able to serve on the board for a credit union that is so committed to enhancing the communities we serve through donations and volunteerism. We strive to enhance the financial well-being of our communities through no-cost educational seminars, free financial and debt counseling resources and our award winning Student-Run Credit Union program, which helps members of all ages embrace the knowledge and tools for making wise choices now as well as in the future.

I also want to thank my fellow directors and the board’s supervisory committee for their dedication and willingness to serve the credit union on a volunteer basis. We will continue to work hard for you!
