Supporting Our Nonprofits

That is why we are proud to support the many nonprofit organizations that support those in need across our communities. The impact they have is immeasurable and we are proud to support them in their missions.
THUMBS UP FOR CHARITY
Community Financial sought nominations from the community, telling us which charitable organization deserved a “Thumbs Up” and a donation in recognition of the good they do for the community. Five finalists were given the chance to receive a $10,000 donation from Community Financial.Community members were invited back to cfcu.org to cast their vote for the organization they felt was the most deserving. In April, Community Financial was proud to present the New Hope Center for Grief Support with a check for $10,000. In addition, Friendship Shelter, Gaylord and WSDP Radio, 88.1 The Park, each received a $5,000 donation. The Montmorency County Council on Aging, Montmorency County, and Old Village School, Northville were presented with $2,500.
SUMMER OF SHARING

Reading the stories of how these groups help support people in need was as inspiring as ever.
WARMING HEARTS AND HOMES
During the month of December, we took to social media and other technology to support nonprofit groups including The Heat And Warmth Fund (THAW), The Salvation Army’s Coats for Kids program and local food pantries. For each new like our Facebook page received, along with each tweet on Twitter or text message sent to us, we donated $25 to those groups. With the help of our members and other residents, we reached our goal of donating a total of $30,000 to those organizations.
